Yes. Two posts. One day. I have completely lost it. Well you might as well soak in the abundance of my posts because I really don't know how things will be when college starts. So as of now I am on a posting high.
Anyhow, for this one I actually realized the dire importance of a camera and a photographer. I mean I had to click my own pictures. And how difficult is that without a tripod and SLR. When your camera gives you hazy pictures and what not. Why can't someone gift me with an SLR. So warning all of you, please do excuse me this time for the lack of pictures, also for blurry pictures.
Moving on.

Tangerine has been making the rounds this year because it is indeed a brilliant colour, and it might just become the colour of the year. I love the colour but I am not a fan of how it looks on me. Instead of going the usual way with one tangerine piece or an entire tangerine I decided to play with colours today. So every thing I am wearing has a bit of the colour on it.
From the necklace to the slippers, they all have tangerine somewhere or the other.
About this look:
This look according to me spells summer all over. With May coming to an end I thought it was ideal to pull out my summer outfits and bid goodbye to summer till next year. You've seen this skirt in my first ever style/outfit post and hence it does have a lot of sentimental value. HERE
What I did was, paired clashing prints with colliding colours to work this look. That's something you must always remember. When pairing various prints try and get a colour in them that's in unison, in order to make it work. This skirt has the most brilliant prints and I got it for a great price too. The top is cotton, floral and perfect for the summer. I went with a high pony tail to end the look. Added a colourful necklace, bangles and a chunky antique ring. Also wore my favourite comfy flats.
The best part about skirts like this is that they can be worn by almost everyone, from XS to XXL. We all can wear it and look equally stylish. Last time I wore it as a low waisted skirt but this time tried a high waist, that's the versatility of this piece.
The tangerine is visible in the flowers of the top, triangles of the skirt, ring, beads of the necklace, bangles and my slippers too. Which I couldn't get a click, sorry.
Now time to head over and have a look at the outfit.
Top: Commercial Street, Bangalore
Skirt: Thrifted
Bangles: Boutique
Necklace: Fashion Street, Mumbai
Slippers (not visible) : Head Over Heels
The next time you decide to wear tangerine keep the following tips in mind:
1. Since the colour is bright in itself, try pairing it with subtle and milder colours first.
2. Always remember, no one stops you from experimenting. Try mixing contrasting colours and go bold with colour blocks. Tangerine goes with most colours like pink and red.
3. When opting for tangerine pants always go with a light coloured top. If you are wearing a darker coloured top then minimal accessorizing.
4. You could wear tangerine in small ways like I did and still rock the trend. Try getting all pieces in the colour and have fun with it.
5. Walk in style and you'll look fabulous.
Don't forget to tell me what you thought of this different way of wearing a single colour and incorporating it in your outfit entirely. Leave a comment, or send an email.
Love,
Sonshu
